The general objective of the course is to equip teachers with a variety of practical skills to ensure their classrooms are engaging and student-centred, helping learners successfully achieve their learning objectives. Teaching methods and assessment
Methodology
This 25-hour course runs over 5 days with 90-minute sessions. Each morning includes an input session followed by observation of experienced teachers, plus reflection and discussion.
Key topics include methods and techniques, classroom management, teacher talk time, giving instructions, using the board, language analysis, correction, feedback, and practical classroom activities.
Assessment
Each participant delivers a 20-minute lesson to a small group. While one teaches, others observe and take notes on lesson structure, interaction, and strengths or areas for improvement. After teaching, participants complete a short self-reflection. The tutor then leads a feedback session, combining observer notes and professional guidance to support progress and confidence.

The course introduces and utilises a variety of digital tools and resources designed to facilitate interactive and student-centred lessons.
